Tips for Writing a Great Letter:
Tell Your Story: Your story and your own words are the most compelling. You should tell your own story and explain why you think we need change in Washington, and why you support Kay for Congress.
Emphasize the Positive: Even if you are writing in response to a negative article, try to focus on why you think voters should support Kay for Congress.
Use Details: Mention a recent article in the newspaper or include specific details about Kay that you think are important for readers to know.
Keep It Short: The more to the point and focused you can make your letter the more effective it will be. Try to keep your letter to 100 to 250 words. This will prevent an editor from cutting your intended message.
Use Plain Language: Keep it simple, and use everyday language to make sure your letter is easily understood.
Check: Be sure to proofread your letter for spelling and typos.
